Gatsby Questions
1) Is Gatsby great? Is he even a good person?
In my opinion i think that Gatsby is in between of being a good and a bad person because he helps people but just to impress Daisy,i think it makes him kind of selfish.
2) Nick can say that he’s honest to himself but not really to everyone he talks to,for example he knew about toms affair with Myrtle, when he was asked about the rumors that he was engaged he denied it,and he knows that Gatsby is not who he say he is but still doesn’t tell anyone.
3)I agree with Fitzgerald calling Tom and Daisy careless people because they are insensitive and thoughtless.Tom hit Myrtle right in the face and broke her nose, then Daisy ran her over with her car and didn’t want to admit her guilt.Daisy likes talking to Gatsby but when there’s problems she likes going to Tom.After Gatsby gets shot and dies Tom and Daisy leave and never show up.
4)Daisy Bachanan is an unpleasant, selfish, and careless person who only thinks about herself. She flirst with Gatsby and Tom at the same time, yet she doesn’t care. When things go wrong with Gatsby she goes straight to Tom,when she ran over Myrtle she stayed quiet about it and didn’t say a word about it.Then when Gatsby was killed she went with Tom and never returned.
5)I think that the last sentence of the story is referring to Gatsby because Gatsby is a symbol, Daisy is a symbol of his past. Then when Nick mentions that Gatsby is worth the whole bunch.

I Honestly think that Richard Cory shot himself was because he probably felt depressed or was stressed out of so many problems.Even tho he seemed perfect he probably had so many problems.
